The Sustainability Strategic Plan focuses on decarbonization, circular economy, and biodiversity, establishing a line of study on biodiversity valuation and conservation actions carried out by the company, with the goal of applying them to other activities, as long as conditions permit.
The plan will also focus on the goal of implementing a climate strategy to anticipate climate neutrality by 2045, achieving net-zero emissions with the following breakdown of short, medium, and long-term objectives, which advocate for energy efficiency, use of renewable energy, emission reductions, and avoided and neutralized emissions.
These actions will include objectives such as: carbon footprint certifications, establishing an internal carbon price, training and raising awareness on the circular economy, energy certification, and digitalization.
Excellent environmental management and action against climate change are inherent to the business itself and are present in all its activities and areas. The Climate Change Strategy creates the framework within which Cox´s actions are encompassed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, adapt to the impacts of climate change, and seize associated opportunities.
This commitment is outlined in its sustainability policy and environmental management and energy efficiency policy, and individually, it is required of each member of the organization through its Code of Conduct.
